The Zodiac symbols are unconnected and simply attached to the wheel, with the large hands operating from the central point.There are no minute markings.
The building is in the centre of St. Helens shopping centre at a prominent junction and is a highly visible landmark.
Don’t set your watch by it though, it no longer works.
